March 2003
John went to the Australian Cup at Flemington with Max and Kate Canham.
John, Leanne and Nicholas went on a holiday to Trinity Beach, QLD.
We visited Leanne's Parents and Brother in Grandchester and her sister in Townsville. We also went on the Spirit of the
Outback Train to Longreach.
April 2003
We returned from QLD and John went back to work.
May 2003
On Wednesday 28th May, John and his dad went to the Committee Room at the VRC for lunch and afternoon tea. John held
the 1985 Melbourne Cup in his hands. It was won by 'What a Nuisance.
September 2003
Leanne returned to work on 24th of September.
John is finishing
work for 6 months on September 16th.
John went to Miller's Guide Racing Trivia Night on Thursday 11th of September.
Leanne and Nicholas have being going to playgroup every Friday.
Nicholas is now crawling and pulling
himself up on the furniture.
Jan to Aug 2004
Leanne and John are expecting their second baby on August 14th 2004
John returned to work on March 18th.
Zara is having her Christening on March 21st and John is one of the God Parents.
Nicholas started Day Care on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The Saints won the Wizard Cup Grand Final. John, Nicholas and Pamela went along.
John and Leanne have new cars.

June 2003
During June, John played golf with Peter Hudson of football fame. He also played at the Dunes with Stephen Price
who has a new Monaro but is not very famous. John, Leanne and Nicholas stayed at Sorrento for a couple of nights at this time.
John played golf at Hidden Valley with Sean Howard who wants me to mention my drive at the 15th when I went in the water.
I would prefer to mention the 14th where I carried about 200m of water to land in front of the green at the Par 4...
July August 2003
John, Leanne and Nicholas went to Woodend on the train on Tuesday 5th August. It was freezing cold there but we had nice
coffee and cake and Leanne bought a new jacket.
John and his mum went to St.Kilda vs Richmond on Saturday night 9th of August to see Nathan Burke's last game.
John went to Optus Oval on the 16th of August to see the Saints thrash Carlton by 91 points.
Leanne and Nicholas are going to Brisbane at the end of August for 6 days.
John is also going to Brisbane for 4 days as part of his work.
Rest of 2003
John's sister, Katrina, who lives in the Netherlands, had baby Zara on September 12th. This is Nicholas' 4th cousin and
the first on his father's side.
Nicholas 1st birthday was on 22nd October.
He started walking at about 12 months.
Katrina, Damien and Zara moved back from The Netherlands in December
We went to Steve nad Sue Price's for Christmas Dinner.
Sep 2004 to Dec 2004
We welcomed Joshua Leigh Costin to the family at Midday on August 24th. He weighed 8lbs 15oz and was 55 cm long.
Leanne's parents, Merv and Shirley, came down from Queensland to visit, during September.
John, Katrina and Pamela went to the 2nd Semi Final at the MCG to see the Saints beat the Swans by 51 points.
John went to AAMI stadium to see the Saints vs Port Adelaide in the Preliminary Final on September 17th.
